Announcing!
Earth Night Film Screening - Saturday April 16
More details here.
Founded
in 1999 in Vancouver, BC (under the name Black Cat Video) as a monthly movie night at the now-defunct La Quena Café on Commercial Dr., Black Cat Cinema is now a weekly documentary
series screening films on spirituality, metaphysics, health,
ecology, food, politics, art and music.
Films
are chosen by BCC founder and programmer David Barbarash based
on their ability to not only entertain and inspire, but to expand our consciousness
and awareness of the world in which we live.
Now
based in Roberts Creek, BC, Black Cat Cinema shows
films every Tuesday evening. In the Fall and Winter months (from Sept. through Feb.) we transform the Roberts Creek Community Hall into
a place of insight, education, enlightenment and discussion.
We also have occasional Special Events at the Heritage Playhouse in Gibsons, such as on October 24, 2010 when we hosted Vancouver-based award-winning producer and director Erik Paulsson who presented his most recent work The Edge of the World: BC's Early Years.
